Director and creator of Macross franchise, Shoji Kawamori, said recently in the interview that previously announced Macross Frontier the Movie won’t be by any means a completely new work. Instead, it will follow the original story with some improvements and changes to the story and setting. Some character development will have to be adjusted for example. He later adds that there still will be lots of content in the movie that didn’t make it into TV version though.
