The Japanese technology news source ITmedia reports that five companies will launch a 3D virtual world where users can interact with bishōjo game heroines from Clannad, Shuffle!, and D.C. II: Da Capo II, this summer. Headlock is developing the world which will have characters from the game developers Visual Art’s (Clannad), Omegavision (Shuffle!), and CIRCUS (D.C. II: Da Capo II). Each game franchise will be recreated on its own virtual island. The different islands will be connected by a tentatively titled “Akihabara Island,” where the different avatar/chara-doll pairs can gather for chatting and events.
The singer KOTOKO will also perform the first theme song for the game.
