Back in May, LiveJournal made some blanket deletions of accounts that they accused of having child porn when in fact many of these were simply BL and yaoi fanart journals. Some of these deleted ones also included a rape victim support group and also a discussion group for the novel Lolita. After a big fuss most of these accounts were reinstated and LJ released a statement promising that it would never happen again.
This time, the number of accounts deleted was not nearly as large. A number of Ouran High School Host Club communities were targeted. At least two appear to have been deleted by the owners, but the status of at least two other accounts, such as ouran_papas and ootoricest, show “this journal has been deleted and purged” messages, NOT “this journal has been suspended” messages.
