Japanese movie company Stargate announced today that the gag manga “Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou” (Daily Lives of High School Boys), by Yamauchi Yasunobu, will get a live action movie adaptation to be released this fall on October 12th.
The movie will be directed by Daigo Matsui. The trio cast of the main characters will be played by Masaki Suda (as Tadakuni), Shuhei Nomura (as Yoshitake) and Ryo Yoshizawa (as Hidenori). The story will revolve around a cultural festival that the boys’ high school organizes together with a girls’ high school nearby.
The manga is finished and has 7 volumes altogether. The total circulation is over 2.2 million. It was adapted into an anime earlier in January 2012.
