Kadokawa Shoten and seven major anime producers announced a new anime exhibition “Anime Contents Expo” in opposition to Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF). It will be held on March 26th and 27th at Makuhari Messe, which is located in Chiba Prefecture next to Tokyo. TAF will be held from March 24th – 27th.

The anime producers stated in the announcement that they have decided to boycott TAF to show their opposition to Tokyo government’s Anime & Manga Regulation Ordinance. Considering the anticipation of the anime fans and the necessity to exhibit the new anime titles, they had been seeking an alternative opportunity.
