According to Shueisha, a new TV anime series titled “Aoi Bungaku (blue literature)” will start from October 10th. They will animated four Japanese classical literatures and the original character designs are done by manga authors Obata Takeshi, Kubo Tite and Konomi Takeshi.
Recently, Japanese classical literatures have been re-published with new cover illustrations drawn by manga authors. The illustrations boosted the sales of the books four to ten fold.
