According to the statement of accounts of IG Port (the parent company of Production I.G and XEBEC), a sequel to a “big hit” TV series will be produced by 2013.
IG Port announced a significant amount of loss in the second quarter of 2010. Sengoku BASARA, Higashi no Eden and To LOVE-Ru have contributed to the sales but they couldn’t compensate for the bad loans of Uchuu Senkan Yamato: Fukkatsu-hen and the failure of Hottarake no Shima ~Haruka to Mahou no Kagami~. Taking responsibility of the huge loss, one of the executive directors of IG Port resigned the post and the personnel expenses will be cut down by the reduction of the bonus and the salary-cut of the administrators. IG Port expects 15% increase in the sales by the production of the “big hit” series in 2Q 2013.
