A second season of Sengoku BASARA was announced at the end of the 12th episode of the first TV series that aired tonight in Japan. It will premiere in 2010. The official website of the show has also confirmed this information.

According to Mainichi Online, the second season of Sengoku BASARA was not planned at first, but the success of the tie-up products such as Sengoku BASARA Rice and the recent Sengoku era history fad among women made them decide to produce a new season.
