Ogata Megumi confessed in her e-mail magazine that she had been in depression for one month. After she finished a live concert tour last March, she fell into a state of lethargy. She completely lost appetite, suffered from insomnia, and had no motivation to do anything other than crouching on the floor.
She recovered from the state of depression by reading a book on stress-handling. She realized she had accepted excessive amount of works to comply with others’ expectations and gone against her own principle that “the quality of her performances” and “her own will to do the job” have the highest priority. She stopped taking on jobs aggressively and started to have more passiveness in her life.
