According to Comic Natalie, Otomo Katsuhiro has been preparing a long-term series of Shonen manga. He said it was a wild project since Akira was the only long series he had ever worked on. Otomo revealed that the story of the manga will take place in the Meiji period.
He also announced that he will direct an anime titled “Hinoyōjin”. The production studio is Sunrise.
