According to the VA studio axl-one, VA Yuuko Gotou, known primarily for characters such as Mikuru Asahina (Suzumiya Haruhi) and Hiro (Hidamari x Sketch), has received another doctor stop, and will be going on hiatus again for intensive treatment for an autoimmune disease occurring in her heart, lung and vessels. The expected length of the hospitalization will be at least for two and a half months. She had a similar disease when she was in the junior high school and once was told by a doctor that she wouldn’t be able to go to high school.
A previous announcement on May 7, 2010 was made regarding her hiatus for a throat surgery, which she recovered from on June 3, 2010.
There has been a rising concern about the productions of Hidamari Sketch x Honeycomb and Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon II, but no official announcement has been made.
The VA studio states that they will make further discussions with the doctor and announce her recovery as soon as possible.
