“Her name ‘巡音 (Megurine)’ means ‘the sounds that travel around (巡り伝わる音)’. CV03 will travel around and meet (巡り合う) with many possibilities. Japanese sounds meet English sounds and humans meet the machines. We expect CV03 will let different concepts, cultures, and languages meet with each other and she’ll connect them together.”
“The key concept of the character design is ‘a brass instrument’. Sounds travels (巡り伝わる) through the tract of the instrument. A “tract” is indispensable for humans to interact with the sounds.”
“Asakawa Yuu-san was already chosen in the early 2007. It was earlier than Hatsune Miku project. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it in scheduling the recording session.”
