The DVD and Blu-ray of Evangelion: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance was released on May 26th. 350,000 copies of the DVD and 450,000 copies of the Blu-ray have been shipped. It’s highly likely that Evangelion 2.22 Blu-ray will surpass the record of Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” Blu-ray (261,000 copies). Akiba Blog reported that Eva 2.22 has already been sold out in the DVD shops in Akihabara before the official release date.
