According to FUNimation’s official press release, FUNimation Entertainment and Niconico have forged a partnership to co-license anime for streaming and video releases under the name Funico. Niconico will be streaming the licensed titles and FUNimation will release the titles on home video.
Funico-licensed titles will have download-to-own options and they also intend to license anime for countries other than just the USA and Canada.
