Navarre CEO Cary Deacon has revealed that Navarre subsidiary FUNimation is now in negotiations to acquire distribution rights to some of Geneon USA’s anime titles.

There are reports that Funimation is in very early talks with Geneon to acquire titles from Geneon’s library of titles. There are, however, no reports of what titles or how many titles will be bought by Funimation.
This would appear as good news for any fans who were following Geneon’s releases, as there were no previous reports (as far as I know) as to whether the series would ever be completed.
The article also indicates that ADV and Geneon used funds from Japanese investors to raise their bids on recent anime licences.
Funimation made $31.4 million in 3rd quarter earnings. This is down from last years $35 million. This profit, however, still met profit expectations.
