My house burnt down…… but at least I have some manga!

As most of you may know, California has been on fire for the past while, but since most of the anime/manga companies are located in Southern California, they have decided to donate manga to victims of the horrible fires.

The Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA), the parent organization of the Anime Expo convention, and manga companies that include Aurora Publishing, Inc., Digital Manga Publishing, Go! Comi, Tokyopop, and Viz Media are donating manga to the people who now live in fire relief shelters and evacuation centers due to this week’s wildfires in Southern California.

Currently the federal government has declared it a state of emergency, as a half a million people have already evacuated their homes.

Monetary donations can be given through the Red Cross at 1-800 HELP NOW (1-800-435-7669) or http://www.redcross.org, and in-kind donations can be offered at 1-800-746-5463.

Luckily our very own Xinil’s house has not burnt down, so he gets no manga.
