During the broadcast of the 25th and final episode of Macross Frontier, it was announced that the series would be released in movie form. The movie will be following the same plot revolving around a fighter pilot named Alto Saotome and two singers named Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee as humanity battles an alien threat.
No word on whether the movie will feature new animation or recycle from the series. A release date is also still unknown at this point.

According to Macross Ace magazine vol.002, the movie will be premiered on November 21st. The title is “Gekijouban Macross Frontier Itsuwari no Utahime”.
