According to Chugoku Newspaper, Nakazawa Keiji, the author of manga Barefoot Gen, retired from mangaka. Nakazawa announced by himself that his chronic diabetes and cataract got worse, and he doesn’t have enough eyesight to draw manga. He apologized that he gave up writing the planned sequel to Barefoot Gen.
