According to Dengeki Online, Bandai Namco Games announced a new animation of .hack// series at Tokyo Game Show 2009. They also said it’s not a TV anime. The new game .hack//Link will be released in February 2010. All the .hack characters including anime, manga and novels will appear in the game. “Link” will be the final chapter of the .hack game series.

The president of CyberConnect2 disclosed that the movie production team “sai” is now working on a full CGI animation. The animation will be released after Bandai’s anime.
