According to Cinema Today, Studio Ghibli has announced two new movies which will be premiered in the summer of 2013 simultaneously. One is “Kaze Tachinu” directed and written by Miyazaki Hayao, and the other is “Kaguya-hime no Monogatari” directed and written by Takahata Isao.

Kaze Tachinu is based on Hori Tatsuo’s novel and is about a girl who is suffering from tuberculosis and the real-life engineer Horikoshi Jiro.
Kaguya-hime no Monogatari is based on the Japanese old folktale Taketori Monogatari.
