Mangaka Takenashi Eri updated her official website and announced that the coast area of Shichigahama, the model town of Kannagi, was completely destroyed by the 10 meter high tsunami caused by the earthquake hit Japan on March 11th. 45 people in the town were killed and 38 have been missing. Hanabushi Shrine, the model shrine, barely escaped the tsunami.

Takenashi’s family have been living in Miyagi, but they were safely in Tokyo on the day of the earthquake.
