According to Anime!Anime!, 4Kids Entertainment released the statement of accounts for the fiscal 2009. The full-year sales was 36.8 million dollars, down 37% from the previous year. Alfred Kahn, the CEO of 4Kids, admitted the failure of their current business strategy focusing on the original card game “Chaotic” and will move the core of the business back to the licensing of Japanese animations. New license acquisitions of popular Japanese anime will be announced soon.
4Kids had been abandoning the licenses of Japanese anime since 2006.
